Shughart

Sergeant First Class Randy Shughart was a Delta Force sniper who volunteered alongside MSG Gary Gordon to defend the crash site of Super Six-Four. Knowing they were vastly outnumbered, both men requested insertion three times before it was approved. Shughart fought until he was killed in action, having done everything in his power to protect his fellow soldiers. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. His sacrifice represents the highest ideal of 'No Man Left Behind.' His memorial at Queenslake stands as a permanent testament to his courage.
