The 2nd Annual Mogadishu Mile Kentucky returned to Queenslake Horse Farm with a longer day and a growing community of participants who had spread the word from the year before. The event expanded its footprint and its reach — more teams, more spectators, more heart.
Kentucky Wounded Heroes again presented the event, and the format remained true to its roots: a 4-man outdoor team fitness competition honoring the men of Task Force Ranger, the inspiration of Black Hawk Down. The entry fee remained $100 per team, with 100% of proceeds going to charity.
The 2022 event ran from 10AM to 6PM — a full day of competition, camaraderie, and tribute. The extended hours allowed more time for participants to connect with the mission and with each other. Veterans, first responders, and civilians stood side by side on the course.
Year two confirmed what year one had suggested: the Mogadishu Mile Kentucky was not a one-time event. It was a movement.
